这又让人不禁想到与前文艺复兴时期的绘画一样,形状可以在有限的空间内上下游离,而不是为了在平面展示物体立体的样子。在Hot Dog Sun(2017年)中,从黄色半圆扇形散开的香肠联想到了光线的作用,而其他地方的重叠形式则以不同的色调上色,以暗示折射或艺术家看到的其他的感受。

“边缘,是物体或色彩碰撞之所在,是颜料融合或分离的地方。对此,我思考的越来越多,它关乎物体的个体能量,甚至在分子层面上。我希望我的绘画能够表现出那些在最小的物体在微小的距离距离之间所产生的能量。
另外,我觉得我们看东西的方式和相机是不一样的。相机是公平客观的;而人在看东西的时候往往会侧重于观察某方面的东西,那一部分或许就会在脑海中变得更大或者变形。我给我的学生教过几次透视,这更让我深刻体会到这一点。我们不应该受真实的透视所限制。”
